Municipality's CAO Resigns
The Bowen Island Council has accepted the resignation of its Chief Administrative Officer, Isabell Hadford. Her resignation takes effect immediately.
Hadford was hired in 2000, a few months after the incorporation of Bowen as the first island municipality. She also acted as the Approving Officer for the municipality.
"Isabell oversaw the creation of our municipality," noted Mayor Bob Turner, "and Council recognizes and appreciates her contributions through some early and challenging times.
"She had a remarkably difficult job in nurturing the evolution of our new municipality and we owe her our great thanks for her dedication and commitment to this task. She has been of great service to our community."
The Municipality has retained Bryan Kirk, an experienced Municipal Administrator as Interim Chief Administrative Officer until a replacement for Hadford can be found.
