The Transportation Working Group (TWG) is one of three working groups created by Council under its 2006 Strategic Plan to advance the implementation of the Snug Cove Village Plan (Bylaw 137, 2004).
The task of the TWG is to review existing literature relating to transportation on Bowen Island, specifically with reference to ferry marshalling (Phase 1) and ferry capacity (Phase 2). The objective is to consolidate the key elements of the reports and supporting information, and to organize them into a matrix that will assist in guiding Council and the community through a decision-making process.
The details of the task of the TWG are described in the TWG Terms of Reference, which were created within the context of Council’s Snug Cove Action Plan, and described in Reshaping Snug Cove: A Framework for Taking Action (June 2006).
